Bio

Miss Laidlaw, also known as the Beatmaking Housewife is a music producer, digital composer, tutor, radio dj and founder of the motivational site Female Beatmakers. Miss Laidlaw’s musical fan base stretches worldwide with a few releases from her own record label in London England as well as a few state side and the Caribbean.

Producer
Inspired from music from the 70s and 80s Miss Laidlaw's sound has been described as jazzy, groovy and original for its time. Her main motivation to produce was encouraged by both her parents who saw she had an ear for music and pushed her into expressing herself musically via their own love of the arts. (Mother was a singer and father was a producer).

Female Beatmakers
Miss Laidlaw is also the creator of the social network Female Beatmakers.com, which is a platform aimed at motivating and inspiring other talented females in the music industry. The website is female only and each year holds a big charity event to raise money and to promote up and coming female talent.
Female Beatmakers started in 2007 and grew into the world’s largest social network predominately for women producers and engineers.

Djing and Events
Miss Laidlaw started djing in 2008 at first in a few club venues then onto radio in 2009. She also does guest radio spots on Marc Mac’s (4 Hero) radio station Nu Wave and is currently resident Dj for Got Soul and www.music-is.co.uk. Her favourite music to play is Rare Groove, Funk, Broken Beat, Afro Beat and 80s
